Today we went to the Toledo Zoo and had a great time, even though it sprinkled on us a bit. We've been busy working in the yard, repositioning that old split-rail fence and planting some new flowers. I love working in the yard. There is just something about taking something that looks unkempt and making it beautiful. Of course, we still have a long way to go before we're getting any kind of gardening awards, but I did get a "looking good" and thumbs up from one of the regular bikers of River Road. The girls spent their Spring Break at my parents and Matheson went to Matt's mom's and Dale's for 4 days! It was lonely being without the kids, but Lindy and I spent lots of time playing. By Easter Sunday I really missed them and we picked them up, and better than any candy was the presence of "Ugly Teeth". Dana and Matheson make the case for good dental care throughout one's life.

Without Proper Care------------------------------ With Proper Care

Matt's birthday was March 29th and he turned 30 years old. I made a pineapple upside down cake, and I think I may have finally mastered it, well at least it didn't fall apart like it has in the past. Life has been hectic and I can't wait for summer. It will be nice to have the kids at home and to go yard saling again.
